"This was my first experience seeing Supersonic Queen (private function), and I wish I hadn't waited this long!
As an absolute Queen nut and self professed Brian May fantatic of 30 years+, this is as near as you will get to the real thing. Being too young to see Queen perform for the last time in 1986 (albeit I've seen them countless times since with Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert), the show that Supersonic puts on is near Wembley '86 perfect.
The setlist from Supersonic spans the full Queen catalogue with plenty of well known interludes in between (ay oh's, opening Wembley bars from Tear It Up and the fast version of We Will Rock You). The authentic period-correct costumes and whole production are first class, as are the band members. I spoke with Matt (Brian May) following the show to talk about his rig and he was more than happy to share details of his set up. I also caught up with Phil (Freddie) and talked all things Queen for quite a while! Thank you guys for your time even after a two hour gig.

"Brilliant night at Brierley Hill Civic. I was fortunate enough to see Queen at Knebworth, and a few times tonight the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. "Wow, what can I say about the Supersonic Queen Tribute. I saw them on Saturday at Caerphilly Workmen's Hall and they were totally outstanding.
I've seen many tribute bands some good, some bad and some downright embarrassing and I can honestly say that these guys were the best I've ever seen. Not only were they fantastic musicians and performers, the way the singer interacted with the audience was on another level. 'Freddie' went out of his way to be with the audience and he was simply the best entertainer I've ever seen.
He stayed behind after the gig to meet the audience and have photos taken. This band gave 100% and hopefully they'll come back to Caerphilly again.
Thanks for a fab and memorable night. You were all amazing x"

"Supersonic Queen were absolutely amazing. We decided to book them for the Queen's Jubilee and they were fabulous. We are quite a small venue so hired a marquee and lots of people sat outside. Phil was fantastic as Freddie and engaged with the whole audience, posing for photos, singing with guests and generally involving everyone. The village are still talking about them and we hope to get them back very soon. The guys are all down to earth and so easy to work with. We all had a really memorable evening and Facebook was flooded with photos and praise the next day.

"Brilliant show put on by Phil and the boys at our Jubilee celebration on Friday night. Pretty much most of our village turned out and we were dancing the minute they came on stage. What a fabulous Freddie, voice was superb and costumes and actions were brilliant. The music was fabulous and we would definitely recommend you book them for an event. Radio Ga Ga was so much fun. The band stayed afterwards and were so generous with their time, even though they had long journeys before their night finished. Itâs a YES from me!"

"Seeing Supersonic Queen perform in Scarborough was a true gift. Their experience, band chemistry, quality of musicianship and professionalism were evident from the very first note!
Having seen many Queen Tributes, their Freddie Mercury is a level above anyone Iâve ever seen before. His mannerisms, energy and charisma perfectly reflected Freddie I thought.
The band's harmonising is high level and they play such complex music and sing so well simultaneously and seamlessly! Amazing"

"Hands down the best band I've ever seen at a wedding. Who doesn't love queen?! And when they sound this good, even if you don't love Queen, you'll love this band! Recently saw them at our friends, Mick and Leala's wedding in Chesterfield. Atmosphere was brilliant, band were incredible and I now have no voice! Don't think about it, hire this band. Now! From the moment Supersonic Queen came on stage and we heard the first few bars of music I knew we were in for a treat. The band were amazing and incredibly cohesive. You could tell that they have worked hard to hone their set and their show.
âBrianâ was phenomenal - I thought Brian May was actually in the room with us!!
âFreddieâsâ voice was incredible and his movements plus the way he worked the crowd were fab. His voice was eerily similar to Freddieâs and he was the next best thing to having Freddie up there on the stage. He was mesmerising. He had me and my girls singing along to all of the best Queen hits even going so far as doing the âay ohâ call and response that was so electrifying from Band Aid.
âRoger Taylorâ was absolutely on point and his drumming was incredible. In fact all of the members of the band were amazing and you could tell as a group, that Supersonic Queen were clearly good mates and enjoyed what they did together.
We had the best night ever and we still talk about it now. Once COVID bites the dust we will absolutely go and see Supersonic Queen again - even going so far as to travel to see them and arrange a girlie weekend away. They are THAT good.
All other Queen tribute acts I've seen pale in comparison to Supersonic Queen. If they happen to be performing in a town near you, go and see them. You wonât be disappointed!"

Supersonic Queen totally rocked the Walsall Festival, I've yet to see a better Freddie - he's got all the moves down to a T and sounds a lot like him too. Very tight band musically, great to see a fully live Queen tribute also - none of those backing tracks a lot of them use - this is true musicianship at it's best! Highly recommended"
